A fire broke out in one specific dormitory at Ebenezer Christian School in Mbale, Uganda—
the dorm that housed 30 children.
Thanks to a quick and courageous response, alarms were immediately activated, and the on-campus team acted fast—using fire extinguishers to contain the fire before it could spread.
Because of this:
We are incredibly grateful for God’s protection and for the team on the ground whose swift action prevented what could have been far worse.
While the structure remains largely intact with only minor structural damage, the contents of the dorm were heavily affected.
Beds. Mattresses. Clothing. School supplies. Personal belongings.
For these 30 children, nearly everything they owned was lost.
This dorm wasn’t just a building—it was home.
We are raising $5,500 to restore this dormitory and fully prepare it for these children to return safely.
Because of God’s mercy and a prepared response team, this story is not one of loss—but of protection.
Now, it becomes a story of restoration.
We’re not rebuilding from the ground up—
we’re restoring a safe, familiar place for these 30 children to return to.
“He will give a crown of beauty for ashes…” — Isaiah 61:3
